Man Crashes, Then Is Killed in 2nd Crash

A man whose car had crashed on the northbound Santa Ana Freeway on Sunday morning was killed when another vehicle broadsided it, authorities said.
Martell J. Watson, 22, of Los Angeles was thrown from a Chevrolet Monte Carlo about 2:30 a.m. when a Chrysler 300M sedan hit it. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Chrysler driver suffered minor injuries.
Watson had not been wearing a seat belt, according to the California Highway Patrol.
