USC’s Cody Kessler is 12-1 to win the Heisman Trophy, oddsmakers say

Oddsmakers put USC quarterback Cody Kessler at 12-1 to win the Heisman Trophy, and the Trojans at 18-1 to win the College Football Playoff, according to Bovada.
Kessler passed for 39 touchdowns, with five interceptions, last season.
USC finished 9-4 under first-year Coach Steve Sarkisian.
Kessler’s receiver corps will include juniors Darreus Rogers and Isaac Whitney, third-year sophomore Steven Mitchell and sophomores JuJu Smith, Adoree’ Jackson and Ajene Harris. De’Quan Hampton and Deontay Burnett are expected to enroll by the fall.
Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott, who starred in the Buckeyes’ national title run, is the Heisman favorite at 6-1. Ohio State quarterback Cardale Jones is 12-1.
The Buckeyes are a 7-2 favorite to repeat as champion.
Heisman odds for Louisiana State running back Leonard Fournette are 15-2.
Texas Christian quarterback Trevone Boykin, Georgia running back Nick Chubb and Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott are 8-1.
