2014-15 stats: 82 games, 11.6 points, 42.1 percent FG, 38.7 percent 3-PT FG, 3.2 assists
Outlook: He would be welcomed back on another minimum salary deal. Given management’s success finding capable backup point guards in the late summer, he will be re-signed only on Bulls’ terms.

The 2014-15 Bulls were built to win a championship and failed. The 2015-16 Bulls will look mostly similar, although the coaching situation has yet to be determined. Derrick Rose pointed to the 2011 NBA NBA champion Mavericks as precedent for a possible Bulls’ rise. (Summaries compiled by Tribune reporter K.C. Johnson.)

2014-15 stats: 36 games, 3 points, 40.2 percent FG, 31.7 percent 3-PT FG, 1.2 rebounds
Outlook: In an offseason the Bulls draft 22nd, management views McDermott as adding a lottery pick for nothing after an injury-plagued, mostly idle rookie season. He must prove his worth.

Contract status: One season left, $2,854,950
2014-15 stats: 66 games, 5.7 points, 37.3 percent FG, 34.5 percent 3-PT FG, 2.2 assists

2014-15 stats: 67 games, 7.2 points, 44.5 percent FG, 9.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists
Outlook: Find an offseason rehab and maintenance program that makes his surgically repaired left knee less of a factor next season. The Bulls also must figure a better pairing than Noah and Pau Gasol.

2014-15 stats: 72 games, 6 points, 42.9 percent FG, 37.1 percent 3-PT FG, 2.4 rebounds

2014-15 stats: 65 games, 20 points, 46.2 percent FG, 37.3 percent 3-PT FG, 5.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists
