High School Roundup: Kiersten Muse earns second place at San Dimas Tournament

Corona del Mar High senior wrestler Kiersten Muse placed second in the Lady Saints Classic at San Dimas High on Saturday.

The 137-pounder recorded three pins to reach the final.

Rowland’s Cheyenne Bowman, who won a state title at 126 pounds last season, defeated Muse by fall in the championship match.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Corona del Mar 49, Laguna Hills 41: Senior point guard Samantha Uehara had a team-high 21 points to lead the visiting Sea Kings in Saturday’s nonleague game.

Senior center Tatiana Bruening added nine points, and sophomore guard Trasara Alexander chipped in with eight points for CdM (12-9).
