Descendants of past Costa Mesa residents sought

Is your last name Allebach, Berry or Colombini? If so, the Costa Mesa Historical Society may be looking for you.
The society is trying to reach descendants of those who lived in the Costa Mesa region prior to the 1930s in an effort to increase historical knowledge of their ancestors.
The families that settled in the old downtown area also include Peabody, Thomas and Monroe. Some of the names associated with the boomtown of Fairview are Clark, Wallace and Mayhew, and the Platt, Goodwin and Maddox families were drawn to farming community Paularino.
The society welcomes such descendants to attend this year’s open house on Sept. 15. at the Diego Sepulveda Adobe.
Anyone looking for more information can contact the historical society at (949) 631-5918 or drop by between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays at 1870 Anaheim St.
