MARIE LINDAHL PALMER

died peacefully at her home in Newport Beach on June 30, 2007, at the age of 86. Her loving family, longtime caregiver, and beloved dog surrounded her.
Marie’s husband, Charles C. Palmer predeceased her in death in 1986. She was the mother of 4 children, 5 grand children and one great grandson. Patricia Moore (Rusty), Cynthia Haller (Jack), Michael Palmer, Melinda Barnes (Norman). Grandchildren include Meghan Haller, Lindsay Moore, Erin Haller, Kimberly Tozer (Dave), Charles Palmer Barnes and great grandson Jackson White.
Marie was a native Californian who loved spending summers at the beach and traveling with her children and grand children. Marie graduated from Whittier College in 1941 with a degree in teaching. She taught in the Newport Mesa School District for 24 years.
Her passions in life were her family, friends, and church. She loved to garden, cook, bake and share these specialties with her family and friends. Pets throughout her life were her constant companions and her black lab Deetz, was at her bedside when she passed away.
A memorial will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, July 11th at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Marie’s name to the St. Andrew’s Wedding Guild.
Marie’s family would like to thank her long term, loving caregiver, Carol Alodage. You are the best!
