Two seriously injured after vans collide
Two people were rushed to the hospital on Saturday with serious
injuries as the result of an accident at the corner of Fairview Road
and Paularino Avenue in Costa Mesa, officials said.
A gray van and a burgundy van collided at 6 p.m. near the
intersection, causing the gray van to roll over, Costa Mesa Police
Sgt. Zack Hoferitza said.
The driver of the overturned vehicle sustained a head injury, a
Costa Mesa Fire Department dispatch operator said, and was taken to
Western Medical Hospital in Santa Ana. Another passenger was
transported to the trauma center in Santa Ana, and the third victim
was take to Hoag Hospital with lesser injuries, officials said.
More details were not available at press time. Officials at
Western Medical Center did not release the condition of the patients
because of confidentiality obligations, a spokeswoman said.
