E-Waste Recycling Drive

The city of Huntington Beach and All Green Electronics Recycling host an e-waste recycling collection in the parking lot of the Michael E. Rodgers Seniors’ Center, 1706 Orange Ave., Huntington Beach. Residents can drop off computers, monitors, printers, TVs, VCRs, stereos and other electronic equipment from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Furniture, household hazardous waste or kitchen appliances will not be accepted. 2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Walk two to four miles to in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s at 21500 Pacific Coast Hwy. The registration and festival area open at 7:30 a.m., while opening ceremonies start at 9:30. Paella for the Pelicans

The Wetlands & Wildlife Care Center hosts “Paella for the Pelicans,” a cooking demonstration of seafood paella, at 21900 Pacific Coast Hwy., Huntington Beach. Surf City Beach Derby

The city of Huntington Beach, in partnership with Kinane Events and the Surf City USA Marathon, presents the Surf City Beach Derby, which features 10-mile and 10K runs along with 5K and 2K beach obstacle courses. The 10-mile run starts at 7 a.m. at the Huntington Beach Pier, the 10K run at 7:45 at the pier, and the obstacle courses at 8:15 on the beach. Proceeds benefit Project Self-Sufficiency.
