All of the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane of the 210 Freeway in Arcadia were closed Monday evening after a collision involving several vehicles, including a big rig, authorities said.
The accident was reported just after 7 p.m. near the Santa Anita Avenue exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A big rig hauling several Audi sports cars was involved in a collision with a Mercedes sport-utility vehicle, which was quickly engulfed in flames, according to the CHP. At least five other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The big rig was reported to have partly crossed the center divider, straddling both directions of the busy freeway in the San Gabriel Valley, according to the CHP.
It’s unclear if there were any injuries.
A SigAlert was issued shortly after 7:30 p.m. with all lanes shut down. Shortly after 8 p.m., three eastbound lanes were reopened, according to the CHP.
