Police have arrested a man for attempted murder after he stabbed a man in the face at Los Angeles International Airport early Friday.
The attack occurred about 12:30 a.m. curbside on the upper level between the Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 3, where a man was waiting to pick his brother up from work at the airport, said airport police spokeswoman Alicia Hernandez.
Police were called to the area and found a man with multiple stab wounds, with at least one to his face, CBS2 reported. Authorities found Danny Lee Thomas, 33, of Hollywood on the lower level near Terminal 2 armed with a knife, Hernandez said.
He was spotted by USO employees, Hernandez said.
Thomas was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Authorities are still trying to determine what Thomas was doing at the airport – he was not a passenger and Hernandez said it was unclear if he worked there.
The man Thomas allegedly stabbed was bloodied but survived. He was listed in stable condition at a local hospital.
