Actor James Hong buys L.A. condo for $721,000

Veteran actor James Hong has purchased a condo in a courtyard-style building in Los Angeles for $721,000, public records show.
The two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit has 1,437 square feet of space plus a patio with fireplace off the living room, according to the Multiple Listing Service. Features include a formal dining room, hardwood floors, city views and custom cherry cabinets and granite counters in the kitchen.
Hong, 80, has hundreds of acting credits extending back to 1955. He is in the upcoming films “How to Make Love to a Woman” (2009) and “The Lost Medallion: The Adventures of Billy Stone” (2011) and was in “Balls of Fury” (2007). His voice work includes a role in “Kung Fu Panda” (2008). He was one of the founders of L.A.’s East West Players, which has been producing theatrical works since 1965.
The listing agent was Danny Mahelka of Coldwell Banker’s Sunset Boulevard office, and the sales agent was Eve Gogola of the same office, according to the MLS.
