Hollywood Headlines: A crazy week in review

Apparently Gerard Depardieu nearly peed his pants on a recent Paris-to-Dublin flight on City Jet airlines. When flight attendants stopped him from using the restrooms as the plane taxied to the runway for takeoff, he held tight. But when he heard the flight was delayed 20 minutes he went ahead and did his business right there in the aisle. Details are fuzzy on whether the stream was directed at the floor or into a bottle, but regardless, Depardieu was promptly escorted off the flight.   (Roberto Pfeil / Associated Press)

It turns out Anderson Cooper thought the whole Gerard Depardieu incident was pretty funny. In a pun-filled RidicuList segment on “360,” the newsman burst into a fit of giggles. He managed to get through a string of jokes about “jet streams and “In-continental airlines,” but the silver-haired fox completely lost it over “Depar-two.”

Abercrombie & Fitch isn’t paying the “Jersey Shore” cast to wear its duds, in fact it is willing to pay them not to. In a statement, the company cited fears that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s association “could cause significant damage to our image” and is seen as “contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand.” Ouch! “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ ” Russell Armstrong, a venture capitalist who was going through a divorce with wife Taylor, committed suicide on Monday. The couple’s problems were a focal point last season and the family is asking Bravo to edit out Russell and any other related characters when the show returns in September. Famous baby daddy Kevin Federline is at it again. The former Mr. Spears just welcomed a fifth child to his brood. His newborn daughter, Jordan Kay, is his first baby with girlfriend Victoria Prince. The Material Girl went on a little birthday “Holiday” over the weekend with her latest boy toy, Brahim Zaibat. Madonna, never known for her shyness, was even caught by the paparazzi showing a little PDA on the beach during their Hamptons getaway. “Golden Girls” funnywoman Betty White beat out Paris Hilton and Charlie Sheen as the person “whose endorsement of a company would be most likely to drive business,” a poll of 2,012 Americans found. Just after TLC canceled Kate Gosselin’s “Kate Plus 8,” the network also dropped Kat Von D’s “LA Ink.” Though Von D may have been over her show’s demise, by week’s end the tattoo artist had something to smile about: a reunion with former fiancé Jesse James. The couple, who broke up in late July, confirmed that the they were on again, engagement ring and all.
