McDonald’s revives Hamburglar, but what about these other characters?

Social media had a McFreakout on Wednesday when McDonald's announced it was bringing back the mischievous Hamburglar.
The character, who went off the radar in 2002, is not exactly as he used to be — a chubby little guy dressed in a black-and-white striped suit with a large brimmed hat, domino mask and cape.
The reincarnated version of the Hamburglar is an actual adult who looks more like an evil Dick Tracy, with a black fedora and trench coat.
"He’s had some time to grow up a bit and has been busy raising a family in the suburbs and his look has evolved over time,” Joel Yashinsky, McDonald's vice president of U.S. marketing, told Mashable.
Over the decades, McDonald's has had a lot of characters, some more bizarre than others. Could one of these make a comeback too?
Mayor McCheese
Mayor McCheese had an enormous cheeseburger for a head, and he wore a top hat and glasses.
Mac Tonight
Mac Tonight was a smooth-singing moon man who played the piano.
CosMc
CosMc was a sneaky orange alien.
Captain Crook
Captain Crook was a goofy, clumsy pirate on a quest for treasure.
Birdie the Early Bird
Birdie was a yellow bird with pigtails and goggles.
Is the newly reinvented Hamburglar here to stay, or will he slip back into obscurity? Only time will tell.
