10 Villagers Executed for Refusing to Join Rebels

Communist rebels dragged 10 villagers from their homes and executed them in southern Nepal for refusing to join the guerrillas, officials and human rights activists said.
The Maoist fighters stormed Somani, 150 miles southwest of Katmandu, on Friday night, the Royal Nepalese Army said.
At least 10 people, including a 14-year-old boy, were shot dead, the army said. Two men survived and were hospitalized. Akrur Newpane, of the Nepalese rights group INSEC, confirmed that villagers had been executed.
