Bombs Kill 2 in Region of Islamic Militancy

Bombs exploded in a region of southern Thailand that is gripped by an Islamic insurgency, killing at least two people and injuring more than a dozen.
Witnesses said one explosion occurred near the check-in counters at Hat Yai airport in Songkhla province. Two people died there.
Gov. Somporn Chaibongyang said five people were hurt when a bomb exploded at a department store in Hat Yai, the biggest city in Thailand’s far south.
