Valley College Women Gain State Tournament

Dametra Johnson scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Valley College women’s basketball team to a 65-48 victory over Cerritos in a Southern California regional tournament championship game Friday night at Valley.
The victory advances Valley (27-3) to the state junior college championships beginning Thursday at American River College in Sacramento.
Bernadette Tillis added 18 points and Ruth Aguilar scored 10 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for Valley.
