Bertram E. Thurnher has been appointed to the new position of vice president, designated officer, for Coastal Funding Corp., Santa Ana. He will be responsible for single-family tract loan production. Before joining Coastal, Thurnher served as vice president of the mortgage banking division of Security Pacific National Bank. Coastal originates loan products purchased by various institutional investors.
