La Jolla 59, Torrey Pines 47--Nicole Anderson scored 26 points for La Jolla, which led the whole way. La Jolla (18-5) opened a 10-point lead at halftime, 30-20, after outscoring Torrey Pines, 17-9, in the second quarter. Britt Hamson scored 18 for Torrey Pines (9-15). La Jolla will play Madison in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Madison 74, Crawford 66--Kathy Weathers scored 27 points and had 19 rebounds and Kim Lester had 26 points and 11 rebounds for Madison (12-10). Terri Butler had 27 points and Ericka Kiser 25 for Crawford (15-9).
Mission Bay 50, Grossmont 33--A full-court press triggered an 18-7 second quarter that led host Mission Bay (19-6). For Mission Bay, the No. 6 seeded team, Cristina Willis scored 16, Kristi Deal 15 and Bonnie Martin 11. Grossmont finished 13-11.
Helix 55, Mar Vista 33--Host Helix scored the first nine points of the third quarter for a 15-point lead en route to the victory. Vivian Velazquez led Mar Vista (14-9) with 11 points.
Serra 49, San Marcos 39-- Carla Tucker scored 10 points in a 20-9 fourth-quarter rally for Serra at San Marcos. Tucker had 17 points and 14 rebounds for Serra (13-12) and Pam Ross had 16 points and 15 rebounds. Tucker held San Marcos’ top scorer, Susie O’Brien, to 14 points. San Marcos is 12-12.
