Miami Beach

I make my living as a writer. One of the reasons I subscribe to The Times is that it has some of the best writing in print.
I was so impressed by Barry Bearak’s article on Miami Beach (Part I, Feb. 14) that I’m writing a fan letter. Frankly, I couldn’t care less about Miami Beach and its revival. But Bearak grabbed me by the lapels and made me get interested.
This guy can write. His metaphors are luscious. “The best of his girls wore down like lipstick.” His writing flows. “Even the squarest tourists wanted a naughty night out and a bottle of bubbly.”
I devoured every word. Let’s see more of Bearak. And thanks for the sheer pleasure of reading good copy.
