Caesars World Inc.’s earnings rose 25% to $15.7 million for the second quarter, compared to the same period last year. Revenue totaled $198 million, up 5% from the year-ago quarter. The company said the results represented the 19th consecutive reporting period in which pretax income before any unusual charges increased over the comparable prior-year quarter. The Los Angeles-based casino firm attributed the figures to a lower tax rate and improved performances at its Nevada resorts.
