Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of French marine explorer Jacques Cousteau, will be featured at a film festival Saturday at the Port Hueneme Cultural Center, where two of his films will be premiered.
The films, photographed off the coasts of the Pacific Northwest and Costa Rica, will highlight the Channel Islands Underwater Photographic Society’s fourth film festival, “Underwater ’88.”
Also being presented are award-winning slides from the 1988 California Underwater Photographic Competition and an underwater comedy by Ventura County resident Dick Anderson.
An exhibit of underwater photography, featuring entries from the competition, will be displayed in the lobby.
Tickets for the evening, which cost $10, are available at the door after 6:30 p.m. or can be purchased in advance by calling (805) 648-2640.
