Issues facing Ventura County’s visual artists will be discussed Monday at a Visual Artists Round Table in the Ventura Art Council’s New Momentum Gallery.
The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a panel of gallery directors discussing their exhibition philosophy and the guidelines they set for reviewing portfolios and accepting new artists.
Also discussed will be the difficulty of locating studio space in which it is also legal to reside.
Independent art dealers will be represented, including the director of the Pan American Museum Foundation, Michael Kelly, who will discuss opportunities to encourage corporate and business collections through art leasing.
The New Momentum Gallery is in the Old Town Livery, 34 N. Palm St.
