High School Soccer Playoffs : Hill’s Goal Keys 1-0 Win for Oak Park

One goal was all Oak Park could manage. But in this case, one was enough, as Oak Park slipped past Mesrobian, 1-0, in a Southern Section 1-A Division second-round game Wednesday at Oak Park.
Junior striker Randy Hill scored the goal off an indirect free kick by teammate Joe Gerty at the 30-minute mark of the second half.
Oak Park (13-7-3) advances to a quarterfinal match Friday against Santa Paula at a site still to be determined. Santa Paula defeated Atascadero, 2-0, Wednesday in another second-round match.
Agoura 1, Carpinteria 0--Sophomore Dominic Zapata scored on an assist from halfback Tim Ward 10 minutes into the second half at Agoura.
Agoura (14-4-3), the two-time defending 1-A champion, moves into the quarterfinals Friday against Ontario Christian, which defeated Aquinas, 2-1, in another second-round game.
Calabasas 4, Pasadena Poly 2 (OT)--Bennett Fisher scored the winning goal with a minute remaining in the first half of overtime, the first of his two goals, in the 1-A game at Pasadena Poly.
Paul Ratcliffe scored two goals (16-4-1) during regulation play to give Calabasas a 2-1 lead. Pasadena Poly scored with five minutes left in regulation to force an overtime period.
