The Phoenix Suns traded center James Edwards to the Detroit Pistons for rookie center Ron Moore and a second-round pick in the National Basketball Assn. draft.
The 6-10, 240-pound Moore, 25, was the second-round pick of the New York Knicks in the 1987 college draft. He was traded to the Pistons in October for forward Sidney Green and played in only nine games for Detroit this season, averaging 1.1 points.
The 7-1, 263-pound Edwards averaged 15.7 points and 7.8 rebounds for the Suns this season.
