$500,000 in Coins Spilled on Freeway

About $500,000 in coins was spilled on the Pomona Freeway in the City of Industry late Wednesday night when a Brinks armored truck apparently blew a tire and overturned, county fire officials reported.
Neither of the men in the truck required medical treatment, officials said. There was no paper money in the truck. Crews from the Brinks Co. surrounded the scene, and there was no looting nor missing money.
