Once again we find in Bentsur’s article nothing more than a whitewashing tactic. No longer will the world swallow the notion that Israel is on a mission of justice in eradicating the “evil” elements of Muslims and Arabs.
He alleges that Islam has the “goal of religious victory over the enemy--first the Jews and eventually the Christians.” Scholars of Islam, Judaism and Christianity all say that the Crusaders drove the Jews out into the sea from Spain, whereas the Muslims protected them and gained support from the Jews.
According to Bentsur, Palestinians should remain calm and peaceful as they receive blows to the head. They should remain firm as their villages are bulldozed. And they should be reasonable as their sons lose limb and life. If prophet Moses were to speak on this situation, he would tell the government of Israel to clean its hands from the blood spilling in the Holy Land, for the Palestinians are also the descendants of Abraham. He as well as all the prophets of God Almighty would consider this struggle ( jihad ) of the Palestinians as nothing more than a legitimate resistance to the oppression inflicted upon them.
