Retirement Group Names President

The Rev. Laverne R. Joseph will be installed as president and chief executive officer of the Retirement Housing Foundation in ceremonies at 7 p.m. March 3 at First Congregational Church of Long Beach. A reception at the Hyatt Regency Hotel will follow.
The foundation operates 90 nonprofit residences for the elderly and handicapped, including the Angelus Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. Joseph, a Church of Christ minister, comes to his new post after 21 years as senior pastor of a church in Palos Park, Ill.
Retirement Housing Foundation will have an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. March 4 at its headquarters, 401 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach.
