The Tijuana and San Diego city councils will meet March 3 in a joint session for the first time ever, San Diego Mayor Maureen O’Connor announced Tuesday.
O’Connor and Tijuana Mayor Federico Valdes will be co-chairmen of the meeting in the Copper Room of the Community Concourse. The meeting was called to discuss delays at the international border, cultural exchanges, drug education and other issues affecting both cities.
O’Connor will give a luncheon for the two city councils at the Omni Hotel immediately after the meeting.
