The response to Actors for Life’s marathon play reading to benefit the AIDS Assistance Fund was not as great as hoped, according to Darla Cash, who organized the Feb. 14-15 event. Just under $4,000 was raised by an audience that never topped 40 for any one performance. Still, Cash is hoping for additional contributions to bring the total up to $10,000.
