El Camino Real Wins Wrestling Finals

Led by victories in six weight divisions, El Camino Real High won the Valley League wrestling championship on Saturday.
El Camino Real compiled 193 points in the league finals at El Camino Real, well ahead of second-place San Fernando (139.5). Canoga Park placed third followed by Chatsworth, Birmingham and Granada Hills.
For El Camino Real, Greg McMurray (105 pounds), Marc Pietrolungo (112), Jason Emard (138) and Jee Kim (154) all pinned their opponents, and Karl Hasz (132) and Tylyn Cook (175) won by decision.
Heavyweight Todd Shaw and Troy Word (145) both pinned their opponents to pace Chatsworth, and Tak Odama (191) of Canoga Park scored a win by decision. Four San Fernando wrestlers won their weight classes, three by decision.
