Local News in Brief : $225,000 Van Nuys Fire Under Investigation

Los Angeles fire officials were investigating a blaze that erupted early Saturday in a Van Nuys commercial building and quickly spread to nearby offices.
No injuries were reported in the fire, which broke out shortly after 4 a.m. in the eight-unit, L-shaped building in the 15000 block of Saticoy Street, fire officials said. It took 34 minutes to extinguish the blaze, they said.
The fire caused an estimated $225,000 in damage to three units of the building, officials said. The cause was not immediately known.
