Value-Added Tax for U.S.
Someone has to speak up against VAT. This is a highly inflationary and iniquitous form of taxation. The bottom line is that it is passed on to the consumer, and it is the average family that carries the burden. I lived in England when this tax was adopted and saw the damaging results for the people there.
We need a spokesperson (like the late Howard Jarvis) to carry on a crusade against this tax, and to get the message to Congress that this is not a suitable tax for the United States.
