King World Productions Inc., New York, has named Paul M. Hughes president of the newly formed broadcast division. Hughes will also be a senior vice president of King World and a director. Hughes previously was president of Viacom’s broadcast and entertainment groups.

Hughes will be responsible for identifying both radio and television properties for potential King World acquisition. He also will oversee the operation of properties once they are acquired.
