Michael V. Georgopolis has been appointed president--licensing and merchandising, MGM/UA Communications Co. Georgopolis joins MGM/UA from United Media, where he organized and developed the “Peanuts” and “Garfield” licensing programs. Georgopolis will be based in MGM/UA’s New York office.
