Need for an Arts Park
We try to think that the Valley is a cultural wasteland. It is sad that the Valley, with over a million persons, has to travel on already clogged freeways to enjoy most of our cultural experiences.
Our Valley children are among the most deprived in the City of Los Angeles. Many of them have never attended the wonderful museums or been privileged to hear music in a proper hall. The appreciation of the arts is important to our education. It sensitizes us toward humanity and makes us more gentle with each other. I for one will continue to contribute to the ARTS PARK.
