‘COAST TO COAST’
Monicas, Sunday, 4 and 9:30 p.m.
John Shea and Lenny Henry partner in a mobile disco and fall in with bad company in this misfired tongue-in-cheek thriller. Director Sandy Johnson and writer Stan Hey pack their film with so many plot and character red herrings that one quickly becomes more pickled than tickled. Leaden with sophomoric humor and treacly sentimentality, it’s one road picture where the prospect of a flat tire inflates one’s spirits.
