St. Genevieve Hires Kane as Football Coach

Former St. Genevieve High assistant Kevin Kane has been named to succeed Lindon Crow as the school’s varsity football coach.
Kane was the line coach last season for the Valiants, who advanced to the playoffs and finished 6-5 overall. It is the first varsity head coaching position for Kane, who served as the junior varsity coach two seasons ago.
“He may be a novice to a degree,” said Crow, a former NFL linebacker who is retiring after 12 seasons as coach. “But he has a good head on his shoulders and I’m sure he’ll do just fine.”
Kane, 34, teaches history and also is the varsity baseball coach.
St. Genevieve, currently a member of the Santa Fe League, will join the newly formed San Fernando Valley League next season.
