Biathlete Olympics Flag Bearer

CALGARY, Alberta — Lyle Nelson, a 39-year-old biathlete competing in his fourth Winter Olympics, will lead the U.S. team as flag bearer in Saturday’s opening ceremonies of the Calgary Games, the U.S. Olympic Committee announced today. Nelson, from Essex, Vt., was chosen on a vote of team captains. Nelson, who is a USC graduate, is working on a doctorate in human development.
