Local News in Brief : Fullerton : Woman Killed Crossing Street Near College

A 46-year-old woman crossing the street at Fullerton College was struck and killed by a passing motorist Thursday afternoon, police said.
Police Sgt. Rex Strickland said Margot Christine Zener of Fullerton, was pronounced dead at St. Jude Hospital in Fullerton shortly after the 5:40 p.m. accident.
He said Zener was leaving the campus and crossing Berkeley Avenue when she was struck by a car driven by Chris Scholz, also of Fullerton. Strickland said there was no crosswalk where the victim was hit.
Scholz was not cited but Strickland said the accident was still under investigation.
