Artesia : Lone Challenger Against 3

Four candidates, including three incumbents, will vie in the April 12 municipal election for three open seats on the Artesia City Council.
Councilman Ronald H. Oliver, Councilman Robert Jamison and Councilwoman Gretchen A. Whitney have all filed for reelection. All are long-term council members. Jamison was elected in 1972, Oliver was elected in 1974 and Whitney was elected in 1976. The lone challenger is William Stach, 34.
