New Century Entertainment production company--which recently merged with director Taylor Hackford’s New Visions Inc.--received a financial shot in the arm Wednesday when it was announced that Cineplex Odeon Corp. would distribute New Century/New Visions’ productions in all territories outside of the United States and would provide funding for those productions. Cineplex Odeon and New Century/New Visions executives confirmed that New Century and Vista Film Co. would retain U.S. distribution rights as well as video, pay cable and network TV rights. Cineplex Odeon will primarily help finance product for foreign markets, the announcement added.
