Del E. Webb Corp. reported a net loss of $96.6 million for 1987, contrasted with earnings of $19.6 million for the previous year. Revenue totaled $288.4 million, up 5% from 1986. The Phoenix firm said the results were due in part to the previously announced $69 million in writedowns and loss reserves related to the Claridge Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. The firm, which said its commercial properties, construction services, recreational properties and adult communities were profitable in 1987, expects to break ground soon for its newest Sun City near Las Vegas.
