Bullets exploded and ricocheted off walls when a fire roared through an ammunition plant,in Laguna Hills, forcing firefighters to take cover behind their trucks. “Hundreds of rounds were going off,” Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy Colin Murphy said. “Police and firefighters were ducking and scurrying.” No one was injured in the blaze at the S & S Precision Bullets plants, which had complied with county fire licensing requirements for companies that handle hazardous materials, fire officials said. Damage was estimated at $300,000. Cause of the fire was under investigation.
