RJR Nabisco reported record financial results for the full year 1987 of $1.2 billion, up 14% from 1986, on a 4% increase in revenue. The net cost of restructuring operations and the retirement of high- cost debt was substantially offset by the gain on the sale of Heublein Inc. ‘We are very pleased with our overall results for 1987 and the excellent performance of both our tobacco and food businesses,’ said F. Ross Johnson, president and chief executive of RJR Nabisco.
