The Air Force said it will buy 159 jet engines from United Technologies and 130 from General Electric for F-15 and F-16 fighters in fiscal 1989. The engines cost an average of $2.5 million . . . TransTechnology raised its quarterly common stock dividend to 22 cents from 20 cents, payable March 1, to shareholders of record Feb. 11 . . . The Treasury said it will borrow $27 billion to replenish government coffers at a series of debt auctions this week.
