What a ‘Situation!’

The fourth season premiere of MTV’s ‘Jersey Shore,’ in which the New Jersey housemates invade Italy, scored record ratings, attracting a total of 8.8 million viewers.

The episode, which featured the usual explosive chemistry among Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and the other cast members marked a 4% increase over the Season 3 premiere of the popular reality series.

Also, the return of ‘Jersey Shore’ delivered the largest audience ever for an MTV series for a season premiere, and marks the third highest rated MTV broadcast of all time, behind two Season 3 installments of ‘Jersey Shore.’
